The Student Support department provides support for our students who are in state care (custody) with Check & Connect intervention designed to enhance student engagement in school and learning via a comprehensive program of relationship building, problem solving and capacity building. The Check & Connect program provides:
- A mentor who works with students and families.
- Regular checks, using data schools already collect on student's school attendance, behavior and achievement.
- Timely interventions to reestablish the student's connection to school and learning.
