When a school suspends a student as a result of a violation of AS67, the right of appeal is afforded them at a District-Level Hearing.
Appeals are, on a rare occasion, requested for violation of AS90.
Retention or Advancement hearings are held when referred by the school. In these cases the school does not concur with the parent request.
